John Pattison

John Scott

Your hosts, Nick and Judy Pattison have lived on the 8 Ha (20acre) property since 1989. John’s House was one of the last houses designed by John Scott – one of NZ’s supreme architects – in 1989 – and was built for Nick’s parents John and Pauline. John spent his last 20 years here.

John Pattison was a WW2 Spitfire pilot, one of the Battle of Britain ‘few’, and decorated with Legion de Honeur, DSO and DFC.

We have called the property ‘John’s House’ as a tribute to both of these wonderful men. John’s House is an architectural masterpiece and we have retained some subtle memorabilia to acknowledge this.

John and Pauline were Hawkes Bay identities – deservedly well loved and respected.

We love this place and know you will too!
